Cause Marketing

Cause marketing is used to tie the firm to a worthwhile cause and/or charitable organization. It’s a great way to generate awareness and create goodwill. One example of cause marketing is a campaign the agency created on behalf of a well-known Philadelphia law firm seeking to generate awareness of one of its satellite offices. The agency developed a student art competition in which seventh and eighth grade students addressed the question, “What’s great about South Jersey?” The winner in each grade received a savings bond for themselves and a cash award for their school.

Over 300 entries were submitted and the competition culminated in an art show at the satellite office, all of which received substantial pre and post event publicity. As important, the firm garnered four new clients on the day the winners were announced, with the long-term effect being a full integration of the satellite office into the community.

law firm event marketing

Special events are often used to generate new prospects, reinforce the firm image, celebrate a milestone, highlight firm accomplishments, or to call attention to a cause. Such events can take the form of seminars or workshops, press conferences, contests, open houses and/or banquets/dinners. And they can take place over a single date or over a specified period of time.
